June 1 marks our first anniversary and it has been an extraordinary year! Despite the lousy economy, we continue to grow and expand our inventory because people know or are learning that being green is the key to a sustainable future.
I invite you to join us in our second year of spreading the green by joining Go Lightly’s Green Challenge. Simply sign-up by emailing us at hi@golightlystore.com and say “sign me up!” Beginning June 1, and continuing every other week for a full year, you will be emailed a green challenge to incorporate into your life.
Some challenges will be easy, some may be difficult, but the idea is to focus on one challenge at a time before taking the next step- because just like anything else, going green is a change that takes time and is best done in layers. Just like we’ve learned over time to rely on disposable containers or take for granted we have an seemingly unlimited supply of cheap fuel, we now can learn to be efficient and conscientious in all of our activities and choices. At the end of the year-long challenge you will see that going green is not only second-nature, but really first-nature!
And the best part is, you don’t have to do it alone. The tips will be emailed to you automatically and posted on Go Lightly’s blog where you can post suggestions or get advice from others who are taking the green challenge with you. Together we can do more than we could alone. And that’s what it’s all about: coming together to make BIG and GOOD changes!
